show that in setups with two agents and a very simplistic demand model, such equilibria are found reliably. Instead, both agents deviate around the equilibrium slightly. At some points, pseudo-solutions are found, in which no exact equilibrium is achieved. Q-learning does converge toward such equilibria. In such a setup, there are several equilibria, in which very similar pricing policies are used by both agents and stay unaltered. They analyze a scenario with two agents using tabular Q-learning to learn pricing policies in a duopoly setup. Kephart and Tesauro ( 2000) use Q-learning in multi-agent scenarios with a demand model in which the reward is a function that mostly relies on the price rank. They use Q-learning only with discount factors being set to zero, making it unsuitable for problems where long-term effects do matter. They observe that Q-learning does find near-optimal policies, though being slower than specialized alternatives. They used Q-learning to implement a pricing bot in that scenario. ( 2003) present a multi-agent market model, in which the seller has to determine both the offer price and the number of goods produced in a setting with another competitor that dynamically makes the same decision. Many examples are available where RL has been applied to different market models. While RL is well known in the community, publications around it are scattered and broad, as observed by den Boer ( 2015). The “ Conclusion” section concludes the paper. The “ Application in oligopoly competition” section considers oligopoly settings. The “ Competition between different self-adaptive learning strategies” section shows experiments, where two RL systems directly compete against each other. In the “ Price collusion in a duopoly” section, we investigate the formation of price collusion. In the “ Performance in duopoly environments” section, we study RL strategies in different duopoly settings against deterministic and randomized strategies. The “ RL algorithms” section gives an overview of RL algorithms. The “ Related work” section discusses related work. We show that RL strategies can be successfully applied in oligopoly scenarios. We study RL strategies regarding their tendencies in a duopoly to form a cartel. We compare their performance compared to optimal strategies in tractable duopoly settings derived by dynamic programming techniques. We compute self-adaptive pricing strategies using DQN and SAC algorithms. In this paper, we analyze how far RL algorithms can be used to overcome the limitations of dynamic programming approaches to solve dynamic pricing problems in competitive settings. ( 2018), rely on directly tuning a parametrized strategy and use value estimations only to guide updates of the policy. Other approaches, like Soft Actor Critic (SAC), see Haarnoja et al. It estimates the expected reward of pursuing a certain action and searches for the action with the highest expected reward. 2015) is a commonly used example of classical RL algorithms. A few examples of them being applied to other pricing problems are available as well, see Kephart and Tesauro ( 2000), Kim et al. They have been used for various problems in the past, for example, video games and robotics. They are problem independent and require only hyperparameter tuning to be set up. RL offers algorithms, that are focused around solving games by maximizing a reward stream offered by the game. Duopoly markets offer the advantage, that optimal solutions can still be computed via dynamic programming (DP), cf., e.g., Schlosser and Richly ( 2019), which provides an opportunity to compare and verify the results of reinforcement learning (RL). We analyze two examples of such markets focusing on durable and replenishable goods: (i) duopolies, that require the agent to compete with a single competitor and (ii) oligopolies with multiple active competitors. While it is possible to use simple pricing strategies and tune their parameters manually, this raises the question of whether it is possible to provide an automated solution for such problems. Those price updates might occur at a high frequency. Many traders nowadays can make use of dynamic pricing algorithms, that automatically update their price according to the competitors’ current offers. If your goods’ prices are way off the competition, customers might go for cheaper competitors or ones that offer a better service or a similar product. In modern-day online trading on large platforms using the correct price is crucial.

Lichen simplex commonly complicates perianal itch of various causes. There is an associated risk of perianal squamous cell carcinoma. Perianal lichen sclerosus shows a female predominance usually associated with vulval disease. Perianal lichen planus may be seen as an extension of vulval disease and has been reported to transform to anal squamous cell carcinoma. Atopic dermatitisĪlthough the cubital and popliteal fossae are more commonly involved, the intergluteal fold can also be affected in atopic dermatitis. Seborrhoeic dermatitis typically affects the scalp, eyebrows, and nasolabial folds, but can involve the perineum and intergluteal fold. There will be signs of psoriasis elsewhere such as in other skin folds, scalp, or nails. Pruritus ani means itch around the anus with no visible skin change when used in the strict sense. Perianal dermatoses often present with itch (see Itchy anus). It is important to ask about and look for skin problems elsewhere. Advanced age, faecal incontinence, immobility, hyperhidrosis, obesity, occlusion from clothing, and poor anal hygiene all contribute to skin barrier dysfunction.īecause of the effects of occlusion and maceration, scaling may not be apparent, and the skin signs may be non-specific, although there are usually clinical clues to make the diagnosis. What are the causes and clinical features of perianal dermatoses?Ī compromised skin barrier may predispose to a perianal dermatosis. Their quality of life can be markedly affected yet do not mention it at medical appointments. Patients are often embarrassed, and it may be difficult for them to visualise and examine the area. Patients with a pre-existing inflammatory dermatosis may have anogenital involvement as commonly occurs with psoriasis, or the dermatosis predominantly involves the anogenital area (eg, lichen sclerosus). A perianal dermatosis is a rash or skin change around the anus, between the buttocks.
She first appeared in the Reinhardt comedian, Dragon Slayer,as the trusty squire, before making her first animated showing in Honor and Glory. The Overwatch staff had been sitting on Brigitte for quite a while. In any event, the trail of teasers resulting in Hero 27 has been unbelievably cool, and it's always amazing to see bits of Overwatch's history emerge. The issue is now just if it will be Emre Sarioglu or Torbjorn's daughter, Brigitte. (" I'll knock some sense into you!" Also seems like something he would say.) While we can not see the whole schematic, the hammer appears to have a transformation, or there's possibly a second weapon hidden under that bit of pinned paper.Īt this point, it seems obvious all the clues are pointing us to a new hero. It appears to have been developed by Torbjorn, contemplating his sensibilities and mechanical prowess. We also received this teaser, revealing a hammer. We also understand that Reinhardt was the only one to name her, he is her godfather, and she was born following Operation: White Dome. She's a mechanic, she is buff, and she has complicated feelings about Overwatch within a business. We have seen Brigitte from the Honor and Glory cinematic and the comic Dragon Slayer. In fact, it seems to be focused nearly entirely around Brigitte, Reinhardt's squire and Torbjorn's daughter. This letter doesn't mention Emre whatsoever. Two new teasers have enlarged the story around Operation: White Dome, and all the clues seem to be pointing at a new hero. Torbjorn nearly perished, and Reinhardt had to step in to save him. Ana, Reinhardt, Torbjorn, and also a Private First Class named Emre Sarioglu endured the struggle. Last week, we obtained a Twitter teaser in the official Overwatchaccount sharing the tale of an Overwatch mission deep in Istanbul, Turkey against a collection of omnic forces. Let us hope we're not delivered on a Sombra-style pursuit for more facts in the coming days. It is possible that Operation: White Dome is hinting at something else, but the timing is right along with the clues point toward a new hero. but this is a very interesting hint, especially because a comparable Declassified teaser submitted on Twitter was our clue that Ana was going to be released. We don't know this man is Emre, also we do not know that Emre is Hero 27. He is also shown up at the Christmas comic Reflections, as Soldier 76 gazes sadly at a picture of him. See that guy in the lower left? We don't know who he is. There's also a mysterious figure who is emerged among additional Overwatch agents earlier, and he is this cryptic Private First Class. As an Overwatch agent, Emre would happen to be one of them. When Winston initiated the Recall, we saw plenty of names and faces flash by. Emre is a Turkish boys name, meaning friend.Ī Private First Class who functioned under Overwatch may be a new Hero, and it is almost time for 27 to show themselves. The only new part of advice is the title Emre Sarioglu. It's definitely interesting, but knowing that Reinhardt is brave and Overwatch fought omnics is not anything new. Reinhardt saved Torbjorn's life during this experience, and everybody made it home safe using a thriving mission under their belt. A new teaser in the official Overwatch Twitter accounts was released, showing us that a Declassified Report in the days of Overwatch. The transformation of a picture into a painting happens before your very eyes - you can follow the birth of a work of art in real-time! The software offers the most simple and versatile way to add artistic effects to photographs. It doesn’t give you nearly as many options as OilPaint, but the program’s presets are arguably more realistic, and they cover a wider range of artistic styles.AKVIS ArtWork is an ideal solution for your creative expression! AKVIS OilPaint Video allows you to create hand-painted movies in the oil technique. Still, if you’re looking to fine-tune your work then AKVIS OilPaint (and 64-bit) gives you an amazing amount of configurability. The interface is sometimes awkward, there were odd unexpected problems (Help refused to appear, so we had to find and open it manually), and at prices starting from $49 it’s not cheap. This isn’t as easy to use as it could be. You also have an option to add text, or maybe an image watermark, perhaps a scan of a handwritten signature.įinished masterpieces may be saved locally, or if they’re really impressive you’re able to share them directly on Twitter, Flickr, Google+ and Dropbox. Other tools might stop at selecting a material, but here you’re able to set the canvas scale, pattern, brightness and position of a light source, prominence, distortion effect and more. There’s almost as much flexibility in defining the canvas. If there’s a sloping area in the image, say, you could have the strokes run parallel to it, rather than follow whatever random pattern your chosen algorithm would generate on its own. Not enough? If you need even more control, the Home Deluxe and Business editions of the program also allow you to define the stroke direction. The AKVIS built-in presets are available in the drop-down. You can apply ready-to-use presets or create your own effect. The drawing effect will be shown in the current frame. Select Effect -> VideoFilters -> After Effects Plug-in -> AKVIS Plug-ins -> OilPaint Video and drag it into the Timeline. You don’t just get one or two "Oil painting" options to choose from, for instance - the program has more than 40 preset styles. It’s expensive - $49 to $89, depending on the license - but the 10-day trial is full and unrestricted, so if you’re interested in the idea then there’s enough to justify the download. AKVIS OilPaint (and 64-bit) is a commercial tool for Windows and Mac which specializes in transforming your images into works of art. , Stratos Capital PartnersĪlthough our Fibonacci Retracement study suggested a potential move to 4,800 at the time, we suspected that the S&P 500 would encounter resistance around the 4,550 level. We later upgraded our target early in June 2023 with a target of 4,600. We originally initiated our bullish view on the S&P 500 Index back in October 2022 with a target of 4,200 when the index was trading at around 3,600. 4,800 Seems Too Good To Be True, But Never Say Never However, given that the S&P 500 has already enjoyed such a spectacular run this year, it is understandable that most analysts would be reluctant to raise their targets even further, at least until the index has successfully broken above its all-time high. So even the most bullish target of 4,700 by Credit Suisse would imply a moderate 3.7% gain from current levels. Other prominent research firms including BMO Capital Markets and Evercore ISI have also raised their targets.įor investors, these targets mean very little given that the S&P 500 Index is already trading at 4,534 at the time of writing. This was followed by Credit Suisse, which decided to go all in on the bull market, raising its target on the S&P 500 to 4,700 from its original target of 4,050. Last month, Goldman Sachs raised its year-end target for the S&P 500 to 4,500 from a previous target of 4,000. Therefore, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Wall Street firms are upgrading their outlook for equities: one has to swim with the flow in order to thrive in this industry, not fight it. And the easiest way to do that is to satisfy the confirmation biases of their clients by telling them that they are absolutely right about the stock market. They make money by encouraging their clients to make deals and trade more. Many of its Chief Investment Officers and its legions of analysts and bankers don't make money by offering good long-term investment advice or by making the right calls on the stock market. Here is Wall Street's dirty little secret. And trying to convince their clients to ignore a bull market that has almost fully recovered from last year's losses, is becoming an increasingly Herculean task. Meanwhile, the perma bears continue to struggle to explain why the economy and the stock market have yet to collapse, further extending the timeline for their doomsday scenarios. Several prominent investment banks and research firms have raised their year-end targets for the S&P 500 Index ( SP500) in an attempt to match their clients' increasingly bullish tone. |
